No doubt you have been perched on the edge of your seats waiting for the latest BLOGMAIL from us here at DSM and our latest news...
Several hundred penguins courtesy of Messrs Jensen, Walker and Hillman have successfully migrated from our window back to the South Pole from whence they came. Thank you to these gentlemen for a jolly nice window, but not thank you to them for the bill the penguins ran-up at the local fish and chip shop. In their place have appeared a pile of black and white chairs from Finland. After a few hours shopping, you can sit in the window and relax, trying out this revolutionary chair system by Shigeru Ban, for Artek. You can get a chair, a table or a bench, all by purchasing a box or two of the L shaped elements that comprise the system.
For those chess fans amongst you, you will be delighted to come and see what else Artek have done. Not content with the mere piling up of chairs in the window, they have also tiled a large part of the ground and basement floors with a chequerboard of tiles to mark the launch of their new perfume, STANDARD. Please come and have a look, but mind the step between tiles and the floor.
Coming soon we have the launch of The Beatles x Comme des Garçons. A bag collection, designed by Rei Kawakubo and inspired by the Beatles and their magical creations. This will launch at DSM toward the end of November. We'll keep you posted.
